WTB: Hakama at Okfest

Postby Frozgaar » Mon Sep 17, 2012 12:20 am

I'm not looking for any fancy design, just solid black with gray trim on the bottom of the legs. I just want them to be durable enough hold up through a lot of fighting. Ideally I'd like them to be done by someone who has plenty of experience making haks, and is either going to Okfest of can have someone else bring them there.

I'm not sure what this would run me but I'm open to all reasonable offers.

If you never found someone to do this, I can, though the haks will have to be shipped to you.

Hakama look more and more like rave pants the more I see them on the field.

A LOT of them do, especially worn without other appropriate garb. Then again, winingas and shorts look stupid together, too. It's all about how you wear things and The Look.

My preference is for something like

you know.

Here's another pair of haks I did for a fellow (Richard de Gris, as I recall):

Do you do andon style or just unamori. Can never tell just from looking at pics. Also, how much do you charge?

This thread is pretty old, but:

I don't know what those words mean. I make something close to the 15th Century or earlier style as far as I can tell. My prices depend on options such as fabric cost and details (trim, finish, stamping, etc.) but generally start at around $60 shipped on the low end.

I didn't realize the skirt kind were still called hakama. Neat.

I've only ever done the pants.
