shields?

Postby Kanntin » Tue Mar 22, 2005 8:18 pm

this question came up when i was sparring with someone

if you are wielding a strap round shield and someone hits your hand that is holding the shield does it count as a hit to the arm or nothing like a hit to a hand holding a weapon?
where are we going and why am i in this handbasket

That is a hit to the arm.

A shield is not a weapon, so rule 3.1.5 does not apply.

Ah but the rule also says that and EMPTY hand is a legal target area. So I would say that the shot would not count. Maybe the wording should be changed to say a weapon or shield (as to be clearer).
