Aluminum armor

Postby Sir Julian Lunnan » Mon Jun 06, 2005 9:25 pm

I was looking in my welding book, And I see that Aluminum is a base metal. I then look in the Book of War.

3.6.1. Metal Armor must be made from period metals and alloys such as iron, bronze, brass, or copper. Modern steel alloys are also allowed.

Aluminum is a base metal, Aluminum Sheet Metal is a modern steel alloy.

I would like build armour out of Aluminum Sheet Metal. Is this possable under the belegarth Book of War?

I understand that Aluminum is not, By it self a peroid metal. However, Magneslum, Chromium, Nickle, Iron, Zinc, Tin and Lead, are the components of Bronze, brass, and Modern Steel Alloys.

I know that this look like Im trying to find a loop hole, However I beleave my motives are pure.

Nope, no aluminum armor.

If you can find any medieval aluminum suits, you can feel free to prove us wrong. ;)

Aluminium may be a base metal, but the technology to refine and manufacture it is a fairly recent creation.

Sorry...

No Aluminium for you...
