Kicking Shield edges...

I am new to Belegarth and have only been to one practice thus far. I know that kicking an opponents shield to knock them off balance is a legal tactic and even kicking towards the bottom of the shield to cause them to lower it to try to swing over top is legal but what about kicking the edge to drive the shield completely offline from defending them. Like kicking the bottom upwards to cause the shield to block thier own vision and to expose the legs or kicking the shield on the lower edge side to cause it to spin in a way to open a shoulder?

You can kick a shield anyway and anywhere you want as long as you do not contact the person using the shield.
