Two handed green strikes...

Postby Alabraxis » Sat Sep 17, 2005 12:17 pm

I understand the rule about having to have 2 hands wielding a green weapon to damage an armored foe. It would require the added force of two hands to penetrate armor. But I have a simple (i hope) question about the exact requirements of "wielded with two hands."

I have maid a florentine set, Rapier and Main Gauche. Obviously, neither will be wielded two hands normally but would it count if I did not drop my Main Gauche but instead used my fist enclosed around its hilt to push on the pommel of the rapier in 2 handed fashion?

Yes, it would count as a double green. Using the second hand on the pommel for a two-handed stab to penetrate armor is fine. This is not an uncommon technique, shieldman use it often in the same way to penetrate armor without dropping the shield.
