Weapon decoration

Postby Xarplo » Sun Sep 25, 2005 4:33 pm

Are weapons allowed to be decorated with paint. I was just wondering because I want to make my weapons more than just your run-of-the-mill sword (or axe, hammer, etc.).

What I was thinking of doing was painting designs and colors onto the fabric covering to make the weapon look more realistic and neater. Because I'm an artist, I like to do that sort of thing, I'm not much for boring, monohue weapons.

The short answer is yes. Weapon covers may be painted.

Beyond that, be more specific. Don't try to get an experience weapon checker or knowledgeable rules person to answer such an open ended question. What exactly are you thinking about.

Painting for realism is an absolutely acceptable and preferred activity.
