Shoulder bashing and checking with swords.

I am one of those "Obnoxious" Giant sword users. I was wondering if I could place the flat side of my sword on my shoulder and be able to body bash someone? The sword is about a foot wide.

Body checking is OK. The sword really does not come into the equation. The key to body checking is not to hurt someone. So please body check people carefully.
