Question about light hits...

Postby Sir_Mel » Tue May 09, 2006 11:11 pm

I have recently been a bit confused on the whole light hit/rhinohiding deal. The other day at practice, I was fighting a fellow fighter and he managed to just graze my chest with the tip of his sword. I didn't take cause it felt light to me. He then proceeded to disable 2 of my limbs therefore killing me. After I was dead, he told me I should have taken the chest hit as a killing blow. I thought, in order to mantain a spirit of realisticness and playability, that a part of the body would not be disabled with such a small hit. To me, it would take a heavy hit, especially for the body, in order to disable it. I kinda shrugged it off and went on with practice. It's kinda been bugging me though, am I in the wrong here or was my thinking correct.

Keep in mind, this guy was no featherweight. He's of good size and strength and he's been fighting for quite a while so he knows how to throw a good, solid hit and it is unlike him to hit light. Thanks for the help to all who assist.
