Armor Combinations?

Postby Bradshaw theRegicide » Fri Mar 26, 2010 8:46 am

I am a little confused about how combinations of armor fit into the rules. For instance, the rules say that you cannot grapple someone who is in leather armor if you are in plate armor (I think, if this is wrong please elaborate). How do the rules apply to mixture of armor, such as plate legs and a leather shirt? Is this allowed? (I'm new, please be nice to me!)

If you are asking if you can mix and match armor, yes. It's fine to wear plate shoulders with your leather/chain/whatever else.

In terms of what you can grapple, if you have ANY plate on, you can't initiate a grapple with anyone, though you can always fight back if someone else decides to grab you.

Always consider yourself to be wearing the piece that allows you to do the least. So if you have all leather and one piece of plate then you can't grab anyone.
