Min Blue Striking Surface

OK i Dont know where me and Rev came up with this, but we were under the impresion that any blue had to have 12" of striking surface. looking at the book of war i can't find anything that would make this statement true. the item in question was 47" blue club (we were trying to make the most crazy min max posable.) at 12.1 oz we had a 17 3/4" handle, and a 12" striking surface, making the rest courtsy padding, could we have gone smaller on the striking surface or does there need to be 12"?

I can't be * to look it up right now, but the rule is something along the lines of 'the overall length must be 12" plus the length of the handle and pommel'.
So it boils down to 12" minimum of courtesy padding AND striking surface.

i believe the 12 " rule is in there some where. i am not going to bother looking it up.
the actual problem is that the haft padding is going to have to be thick enouigh to actually work on something like this, because you are deffinatley going to haft someone with this thing. so you would be better served to have atleast 12 of striking, you are only adding the wiegbht of the cloth cover, or about .2 oz per 4 inches of weapon.

No, there is no 12" striking surface rule, been over this several times.
