I'm assuming you mean something like this. This is not a full rigid metal helm in my opinion. Simply be cause I do not see it as a full helm. A full helm is one that simply covers your whole head. I have passed a few in recent years with no problems. Just double check your edges to make sure they conform to the penny round rules and I would probably pass this if I was the weapons checker.
