We were in a bridge battle and I was holding the line - overwhelmed by tower shields and flails, with a 2.5' round shield and most my line dead - I took a knee to reduce target area for them and hold the line until more shieldmen respawned.
I did not want to cause any misunderstandings or interrupt the flow of the game trying to explain what I did... I knew it would cause confusion - so I never got up from taking the knee and took death on my first injury. I made no attempt to loophole rules - anyone who fights me knows I hit hard and take light.
I did not think I was doing anything wrong at the time, but during a water break one of the GTG guys I was squaring off with said, "I thought I missed your leg." I told him, "I didn't even know you took a shot at it, I took a knee for tighter defense and just considered myself legged."
So... I now know Dag has this after some review:
6.8.1 - Because kneeling is how we show wounds to a leg, kneeling during combat isn't allowed. Crouching is allowed as long as neither knee is touching the ground.
The is the only thing I found relevant in Bel rules is:
3.4.2. All Injury effects must be accurately portrayed and reported.
Am I missing something in the Bel rules?
Is it just considered cheese and unwritten?
