Do I have to cloth cover sheilds? Help!

Do I have to cloth cover sheilds? I am going to wolf pack saturday, and I am really tight on time, they are currently covered in duct tape, and won't come apart. Please help, it would save me so much time and stress! Newb here btw

Shields do not need a cloth cover, but with a big enough piece of cloth and some tape or a staple gun, you can make one in 10 minutes tops.

I think that shields should have some sort of cover, and while I'm checking weapons, I will look harder at a shield that does not have a cover. Shields without cloth or latex covers will be required to be safe, and not be overly abrasive (aka no sharp edges, rough cut shield fries, etc) However, shields do not have to have a cover in the book of war, which we stated we are following.

Is that the official wolfpack stance? Because according to the BoW, tape is fine for a shield cover. I agree it looks bad and is dumb, and if that's what wolfpack wants to do that's fine too, i'm just clarifying.

Since I have edited my original post, that is what we will be doing at opener.

(please follow Cyric's advice, cloth covers add a small layer of safety to the shield and actually help keep them together and in better shape)
