Postby bo1 » Mon Mar 28, 2011 1:14 pm

i just reread the bow a bit, it says colored marking tape is required.
is this true and we have just been lax in checking?

It is in the BoW and all weapons ~should~ be marked with colored tape. They oft times aren't. THey should be marked before they ever get to weapons check.

Yes, weapons with stabbie tips are the biggest problem here. How should a weapons checker know if you should test a weapon for stabbing if it is not marked, not only would checking EVERY weapon for stabbing reduce the lifetime of the weapon, it makes for even more sore and grumpy weapons checkers.

Just an FYI since it is so close, if a weapon is not marked at Spring Wars it will only be checked as a blue/type one or red/type 2 weapon (missile weapons are an exception to this rule).
