Cannons in belegarth

I just had a question. Are cannons considered siege weapons in terms o belegarth and if so would they be considered legal for use. They'd be easier to make safer since it's more or less a barrel on a box. The shape would make it easier to make safer since there aren't any gears. There are also less entanglement problems that arise from using a cannon. Just wondering. Of course it would be used only to launch small rocks.

Belegarth Medieval Combat....this is generally taken to mean pre-gunpowder periods. So no, cannons are not appropriate despite them being easier to make.

There are no rules in the book of war about siege weapons of any kind. anything like this would have to be checked at each event, and would likely have multiple restrictions placed on it to make it safe.

Since you don't mention it, is it safe (hah!) to assume that you plan on using real gunpowder to launch the rocks out of the cannon?
