Our field has a weapon that has a handle with two parts to it, one small handle directly under the striking surface and one at the bottom where the pommel is. These two handles are separated by incidental padding and the combined length of the two handles conforms to the rules for handle length.
It was my understanding that even though the weapon had conformed to the handle length rules you were not allowed to have a break in incidental padding. Can a weapon have a break in incidental padding to allow for two separate handles?
Edit: Thank you for the quick reply.
