3.4.5. A single strike can only damage one Target Area.

3.4.5. A single strike can only damage one Target Area.

Is this against one target? My red has a long enough blade to hit two people across the back if I swing it right.

Can my weapon only damage 1 Target Area on 1 target. Or if by chance I can get a hit across two peoples backs with one swing, does it kill them both? If I only can damage one target, do I get to choose who died? ;)

I doubt this will come up very often, but I just wanted some feedback.

One swing can only damage one area. Your swing that might be able to hit two people in the back can only damage one of them and it has to be the one the blade comes in contact with first you really don't get a choice of who dies unless you can hit the one you want to kill first.

i would agree, one hit, one person, one target, per swing. i have done this only a couple of times, i hit one person and then it slides off past thier leg, i used contraction of my arms to make this happen, onto a second with sufficient force. i intentionally did it, does that second motion constitute a second swing? i influenceed it and i aimed it at a second target. in my instance i believe it is a second swing, although it doesnt have a reset point in the base sence of the term. it doesnt really look like a 2 swing combo.

that aside, if i just swing and hit 2 people with the same motion, it is one swing and would result in the worst hit being taken. so if person A. is hit in the back, person B. is hit first in the leg, person A. is dead, person B. is not injured.

these are my interpretations of the rule, i will check back and make sure i am thinking correctly.

You got it Bo. I think to count as a separate swing you would have to influence it, chage direction etc. And its always the most damaging hit taken first. If its a tie then its whoever got hit first.

If the second target thinks the hit has sufficient force , then they should take it.
