Armor: Plate vs Leather

Postby JaidenK » Wed Aug 17, 2011 6:32 pm

Is all armor the same when it comes to protection? The BoW says:
3.3.1. Armor confers one additional hit to the Target Area covered by the Armor.
Does that mean both leather armor and plate armor are just as good as eachother? I would think that plate is more protective but maybe not? Also, that means two hits with a blue weapon and one hit with a red weapon right (excluding stabs which do no damage to armor)?
Sorry if this has been asked before, and thanks in advance for any replys.

Edit:
Thanks for the quick reply. Very helpful for choosing armor.

Yes, all armor gives the same advantage. Which is why most people just use leather or chainmail. Plate is very rare on the field.

You're mostly correct. 2 blue hits, 1 red hit and a two-handed stab will all go through armor.

Also, arrows and javelins will go through armor other than what's worn on the head.
