Rigid Metal full Helmet?

So i was reading the rules on helmet in Belegarth, and i saw
3.8. Prohibited Armor:
3.8.2. Rigid Metal full Helmet. Partial Rigid Metal Helmet as well as full Helmet made of any other Armor materials are allowed.

Can anyone tell me why this is?

I mean i get that it could be dangerous if they charge a shield wall, but im sure someone in full plate/chain with a chainmail and "Partial Rigid Metal Helmet" would be just as dangerous..

Also, wheres the cut off?

neither one of those are in my interpretation a full rigid metal helm.

Main reason why is because of personal injury from a fall or if you fall on someone else. With a partial there is at least some give. Personally I don't see much reason on banning full metal helms but some people get scared there will be a influx of SCA helms on the field and most just look bad. The cut off between partial vs rigid is if there are joints or areas like the cheek pad which can move vs cannot move.
