Can you catch a weapon between a hand that is holding a weapon and a shield? The situation was this: I was in a close grind with another fighter who threw a shot that deflected off my hand and into my shield. I then pinched the sword between knuckles of the hand holding the sword and the shield.

hand on shield is part of shield?
hand on weapon is clearly weapon, but we play shield hand is like hand on weapon too, so i would say it is legal. but even so , i doubt it is a likely event.

There are plenty of things in Belegarth, that while they ARE legal, they make you look like a **** cheater. This is one of those that falls cleanly into that category. Catching a blade by the flats, is TECHNICALLY legal, but you will always, always, always look like you got hit. So you just take the hit and go on with your day because it's not worth people wanting to slaughter your family in front of you and then carve out your eyes and bury you alive.
