armor question

i was wondering can you block a strike with a bracer the same way you would a shield. sorry but im kinda a newb

Yes, but it counts as a hit the same as a normal strike to your arm would. If it hits the bracer, you can call armor, but if it hits the arm then you have to take the wound.
