The Pata

Postby Thorne the mercenary » Wed Feb 18, 2015 4:35 pm

I had a recent discussion with someone that was in an accident and as a result has nerve damage to their hands. The result is that they have difficulty gripping now. He wants to build a pata sometimes called a gauntlet sword. This would allow him to to attach the sword to his hand so that he could still fight. Would a weapon like that be illegal?

EDIT: Kage is correct. I misunderstood the nature of the weapon.

Pata are weapons that are built to be punched with. No Pata are not legal because of this and the rules specifically ban punching weapons. Some other banned punching weapons are tonfa and katar. Your friend will have to find another way.
