Ignoring your own armor?

Postby Landon » Mon May 18, 2015 6:16 pm

I'm new to this and was wondering:

Are you allowed to ignore the effect of your own armor?

I know most people are more interested in winning than anything else, but if you were trying to train a specific skill, or you were trying to create a handicap, or maybe by some crazy circumstance the only "garb" you had was a gambeson, would you be allowed to count one hit as "death"?

Kind of along the same lines, if you wore armor-quality boots, would you be able to kick a weapon without taking damage?

If you're asking if you can call yourself dead for things that would not technically make you dead, then yes, you may call yourself dead at any time. If you don't want to count your armor, then you can do that.

If you are wearing armor on your feet and a foot is struck on the armored portion then that would be leg armor, as foot is counted as leg when off ground.

As for kicking weapons, that'd be kind of a * move. Don't do that.

Also, a gambeson isn't armor... it's padding to go under the armor.

The only thing you can kick in Bele is a shield. Period.
