the multi necked guitar is almost always used for live concerts. The standard doulbe necked guitar usually has a 12 string and a 6-string neck so you can have both types of guitars. The 3-necked guitar most times either has 2 6-strings and a 12-string or it has a 6-string a 7-string and a 12 string. Why would you want multiple of the same neck you ask. It's for if you have a song that's in a different tuning you don't have to take a break to retune your guitar or go grab a different one. You could also have one of the guitars set up for slide guitar, one as a screaming electric 6 string and a nice acoustic sounding 12 string.

Ahhhh now I understand but I don't see any in the concerts I go to, I guess it only is used in a certain type of music

I take it you go to alot of metal/hard rock concerts (just a guess, don't get mad). If that is the case, you don't see alot of multi necked guitars in metal, you'll see alot more 7 string guitars and such. So yeah, just me showin off my guitar knowledge/geekdom.

Lo, I just made my first weapon, and my first sheild. So tommorow when I get to school I am gonna get some pics up.

And yes I am a amatuer foamsmith, so when you see the sword and shield dont laugh :target: :target: :target: :target: :target: :target: :target: :target: :target: :target: :target: :target: :target: :target: :target: hehe, sorry I like arrows

Currently I've only made two blue swords, that heater shield, a shield with my friend, the axe, and am working on a small blue sledge hammer. So I'm a still a bit new at foamsmithing. The axe is really just more of a test for a design I thought up, and the sledge hammer is pretty much the same height/weight so far.

And I realize they're a bit dirty looking...Haven't bothered cleaning them up from last practice yet.

That's a sweet ax. That's kinda like what I originally was gonna do with mine but I had problems with structural integrity (and laziness). Just wonderin, those ends of the blades look pretty small, do they pass the 2.5" rule? Anyway, good luck with your foamsmithing and never be afraid to experiment.

First, thank you. Second, the axe's blades do pass the requirements...Barely. But like I mentioned, it was really more of a test. Plus, my realm leaders have been pretty tolerant and have let me use it during practices. So until I get the time to build a second version based off of the things I learned from the first one, it'll have to do.

are those black circles in the corner rocks or are they just weights from a weight set?

Scorn are the blades on your axe all foam or are they cored?? If all foam how did you make them stiff enough not to bend over and still not hit to hard. Awesome axe man. I love axes but hadn't figured out how to make one like that and have it pass.

They're not cored, they're layers of foam cut at odd measurements. For instance, 3" 5" 7" 9" and then 11". After that I cut out a template for something to "sandwich" the foam strips after stacking them on top of each other from shortest to longest on each side. Basically, the template was in the shape of what I wanted the axe to look like. (In this case, butterfly.)

However, I made sure that the template had a curved blade look. Also, I made sure the last strip of foam bent in the shape of the curved "sandwich" as I secured the cut out shapes onto the blade. I suppose if you really want it to pass you should put some open cell foam on the blades, but since I didn't have any at the time I didn't.

I know that the construction sounds a bit sloppy, but like I've mentioned before, it was more of a test.
It still passed though, and it hits relatively light when compared to the other double bladed axe.

Half-inch PVC with a total height of three feet counting the blade tips. It barely flexes, if that's what you're getting at.

technically, anything can be used one handed. Personally, I like Flourentine Red Weapons (not always effective, but fun) and am able to be successful to some degree. But I suppose for normal sized person, that ax would be a great one-handed blue.

yeah, my ax from a few posts back is kinda like that. Only it incredibly heavy and it's a red. And it's double sided. However, it's far to easy to get really tired, really fast while you are wielding it.

I wish that I have a working digital camera so that I can post pictures of my equipment. I have a medium-length blue/green broadsword, a dagger, 2 bows, 11 arrows, and a small-medium kite shield.

I plan on making more equipment, such as another medium-length blue/green broadsword, a short sword, a short red/green sword (just over 4 feet in length), 6 more arrows, and a medium round/teardrop shield. I also plan on building a prototype crossbow with a set of 6 bolts for Chaos Wars.

Glaive is made of 1" 90 gauge PVC. Kind of heavy, but one member of my realm in particular can wield it very effectively. Meat clever was inspired by Dagganoth's cleaver axe and was made out of the core of the butterfly axe.

Those melonhammers look pretty cool. But I wonder, how effective are they on the field?

well, it depends on the fighting style, they weigh 5 lbs each easily so if you are good at just hammering through things, its perfect, and im making a new axe pretty soon, sold the cleaver to a local noob

I take it the striking surface for a melonhammer is made of open cell? Strange, someone wants to buy my cleaver as well. I noticed that it has a nice rebound after hitting a shield or any other surface.

First flail I built was a bit light when compared to the "public" flails of my realm. Which I guess is good, because the person that paid me to make it is huge. The lightness seems to compensate for his lack of speed.

My "Orc Sword" I like it alot but it needs counter-weighted like nobody's business.

This is my really long flail and for some reason it is really really light dispite all the tape. It needs a new cover. Badly.

This is my axe, its a little short but I still like it.

This is the flail I made for Aganon.
