nope, foam tape and cloth only...no plastidip for rocks. At least not by the current rules.

You just know someone who can actually throw is eventually going to pick up that rock and peg you in the face with it. You can do the skull shape with cloth, just sharpie the features in? One of the "Templar" guys out here has cross shaped rocks (which probably fail, but he likes em for **** and giggles).

Cross shaped rocks? How many hearts do those cost to throw?

Im not experienced with using plastidip, but wouldnt it all matter what the rock is made out of? Im not familiar with how hard plastidip gets either, but ive always wanted a pokeball rock.

Grab a nerf ball with that thin rubbery coating over the foam. That's plasti dip. If done thinly; correctly, it wouldn't necessarily make the rocks harder, per se, however they would slap on contact as opposed to just being a piece of couch cushion foam in a sock.

Personally, I'd be fine with them if they passed hit test. I don't necessarily agree with the cloth covering rule for weapons when shields don't need one. True, shields don't do in-game damage when you strike with them, but they certainly can hit as hard, or harder than some people/weapons.

Maybe a motion to change white weapons to not needing cloth covers should be proposed, after play testing?

Make em.
Test em.
They will fail.
Well vote against them.
Also, weapons wont ever have plastdip striking surfaces. Don't be stupid.

That answers my question then, ive used plasti-dip striking surface swords, they didnt seem too bad, but i agree, they just arent right for belegarth.

Another is to know someone who knits, yes knits. Someone I know made some knit balls filled with pillow cushion. They fly like well a ball and have good trajectory and hold to their path of flight. They look similar to this:

Do want... I haven't "knitted" since a home economics class in high school, but my roomate does (same guy who made cross shaped rocks). I'll see what he thinks, we may need to do this. Thanks for sharing Valas.
