it was fairly simple, its made out of 6 layers of blue foam, no core.
i used spray adhesive, 3M 77 or 3M 90, i dont remember. but since blue foam is usually curved cuz of how its rolled i just made sure it was curved to the degree i wanted when i stuck the first two layers together, same when i added the third. after that it pre much stays in shape you just add more layers.

Park your freshly washed car under a tree and you'll know what's up.

I've seen some weapons that have plasti dip on the blades, and this shield and others with it on the front. Can plasti dip be substituted for a cover or something?

On shields yes. On swords on everything besides the striking surface, as you have to have cloth on the striking surface.
