First depends on what type of foam your using. If your using blue foam, let me take a sword with a blue foam stabbing tip and let me shank you square in the chest, then ask yourself if you'd like something squishier on the end of said sword.

2 layers of blue foam does not hurt, and in my humble opinion, should pass as a stab tip. That said, Belegarth (while it has been getting better recently) is entirely too paranoid about stabbing tips.

1. I just realized that this shouldve gone in the rules forum more or less.
2. The only way that a straight stab to the chest would be if theres only a basic tip. And even that wouldnt hurt TOO much. So i agree. 2-3 layers of blue foam should pass as a stab tip.

Build it, mark it green, put it in weapons check and see if it passes.

Same thing as the stadium seat, for all intents and purposes. Just comes down to what's available at the time.

You just keep teaching Barley how to make weapons, I'll be over there teaching your grandmother how to suck eggs.

Lol, that wasn't directed to Barley, See the 'Or' was attaching Yoga Mat to the list Barley just posted. The Do it right the first time was more of a general statement, instead of, **** it throw a couple more layers of blue foam on it and see if it passes or not pass.

Two layers of bluefoam is a dangerous amount of foam to stab someone with. Bluefoam is not great foam generally speaking and you can definitely leave happy little core-tip-shaped bruises through two layers of it on a stab.

Best: 4# biscuit, 1/2" 4# layer 1/2" 2# MC or bluefoam layer, 3/4" of marine OR 3/8" of good 2#, 3/8" of marine, if you like to feel kind of bad after you stab someone.

Stab people really hard, guys. Dangus, you harpoon people, right? How could you WANT to be stabbed with a piece of 1/2" fiberglass with two layers of **** little bluefoam over it? Like, in the ribs?

I believe he ment two layers in addition to the standard box and blade layers, though I could be wrong.

I've seen people be brave and say that a standard blade is a good enough stab tip on a flat blade till i stab them with it and they fall to the ground. With that being said I do believe that bats without a stabbing tip are good enough to stab people with.
