throwing dagger

so i have been searching and i cant seem to find the ruling on this topic. i was gonna ask if i took a cover in the shape of a dagger- having a 4 in circumference and only open cell foam- would that be legal? i know itd still be considered a rock but be a different shape would it be passed as a rock and pass the rules?

As long as it is 4" across the axis and has no core, it should be fine.
