Most likely, assuming that the weapon passes all of the construction requirements, i.e., flex, pommel dimensions, etc., and hits safely.

We have something similar in our realm, we call it the tampon. It is about 2/3rds of a roll of blue foam and 3/4" PVC. We banned it recently after it inflicted two sprained wrists, including my own. Heavy as crap but not awful to get hit with. we just didn't find it safe.

We have also had a similar build here in our realm. While relativly safe, it did not pass at events, because of it's weight the potential for injuries, no matter how well padded, is apparent.

you could build it on band shop and set it up like an amt bat but then add a layer of 6-8 inch thick light weight open cell just to get the look of it, should hit like a pillow with the low weight and all that open cell as well.

My bad. Given how recently the account was created, and given that I'd never seen a youtube link displayed like that before, I was mistaken.

Not only is it legal, but I bet it hits great with ALL of that extra padding. The only thing I'd be weary of if that came into my check pile is flex, but past that, it seems safe as ****.

Now is it good, useful, or effective? Well that's for another board. ;)

Extra 'padding' isn't good in every case. If that was solid blue foam it'd hit like a brick. Weigh a ton. Don't do it.

If you really want to do it, use some opencell or something to build it up. But really don't do it.

we had a great mace before that was similar. it was light as all get out cause after the core most of it was open cell. one of your guys was built like a foot ball player used it well and he got good enough to maneuver it like a 1 blue. it is possible,

I fought against that weapon recently. It passed a Weapon Check when almost all of the other weapons the guy had made failed. It wasn't bad, but I didn't enjoy fighting it.

great clubs like the one in this video are completely legal (provided that you adhere to the specs for the game you're playing. i built on on 3/4in pvc (affectionately known as Krunch-n-Munch) that passed for 8 years under tremendous abuse (newbs, being left in the car in summer, left in the rain in winter, etc). it's all how you build it.
