Car Heat?

Postby Mitzunare » Fri May 11, 2012 3:57 pm

I forgot about my sword & shield after my most recent event and left them in my car.. They've been sitting in there for about a week now in normal day-to-day heat..

They're generic Edhellen Sword & Shields.. Do I have to worry about them having any issues with the heat? Will the glue that Edhellen uses come apart if they're in there too long or anything like that?

The sword is a typical single blue and the shield is a full-foam (no wood) punch shield with duct tape holding the handle in place.

The shield will warp and the handle will pull out faster. This is compounded if you have it resting on anything.

really depends on the type of glue used.

Yeah.. I dunno.. That's why I pointed out it was an Edhellen/Forged Foam weapon and shield.. Thought that might make it easier to identify what resources were used.

Edhellen glue is very good about re-adhering, you should be fine. As far as the shield.. pretty much what was said earlier. Make sure it isn't tacoing (it shouldn't be) and make sure the punch bar is still in place, not hard to enforce it if its not.

I've kept a Edhellen sword and shield in the trunk of my car for months without an issue, and I live in South Florida. 4 days? You should be fine.
