Average shield thickness? (all foam)

Postby Amerold » Mon Apr 09, 2012 9:46 pm

The question is as simple as the title. What is the average thickness of your average all foam punch shield. I'm in the market for thick (1-2") polyethylene foam. I have an idea for a strap/punch all foam shield that involves sandwiching two or three sheets together. I just want to make sure I don't make it too thin or too thick/bulky.

What would be a good density for the foam on an all foam shield?

My unit uses 2.2 pound poly plank that is 2in thick. It holds up nice.
