Weapon Storage

Postby Sir Thurat » Mon Oct 08, 2012 10:02 am

Someone posted this to the Brotherhood of Red page, and I thought it deserved to be shared here. I can't say that I personally have this much space for gear storage (or the ability to drill into my walls to mount this), but if you can dedicate the space, this is about as organized as you can get.

The individual rack pieces can be found at Lowe's for about $16, or you could get creative and make your own.

I did a quick search for "weapon storage" in the search box, but didn't really come up with crap. So, any of you guys have other ingenious ways you store your gear safely?

If you've got peg-board in your weapon storage area, you can get long double-hooks like this: http://ak.buy.com/PI/0/500/227902891.jpg and store multiple weapons per slot.

I just use large plastic trash cans with open cell foam at the bottom. Store weapons pommel down.

I just keep mine in the car, with a bunch of oddly shaped weights on them.

We had an old box spring that we needed to get rid of. My weapons were stored in old army bags. I wanted to store them in a better way, put them on display. Nysa (my wife) asked me if I could modify the box spring to hold the weapons. It works out quite well. With 5 polearms, over 20 blue weapons, 6 arrows, a longbow, armor, 9ish shields and gear, it's been a life saver.
Now if I could only get the rest of my life as organized...
