Mace question...

Postby kyle voss » Wed Jan 01, 2014 11:38 am

Ok, so i'm new to building weapons. I've been looking over the rules and I had a couple questions before I start crafting my Mace. I've laid down the basic prints and as i was going I stopped because I was wondering if the had had to be covered in a sock or could it be taped/rubber sprayed?

The idea is that when done I want it to look like...

Thoughts..ideas, any help or insight would great.

Thanks!

Per the rules, the striking surface of a weapon must be covered in cloth. A sock would work, but would be much less appealing. For a flanged mace, I would recommend using strips of cloth and cloth tape. It will better define the flanges and look better. You could also sew a custom cover, but that can be difficult with those types of maces.

Have you checked out the How To Build section on the Geddon? It has some detailed instructions which should help you out quite a bit.

That I hadn't, i'll have a look thank you. I'd really like the detail in my weapons.

Someone HAS made a close aproximity to that, actually. In texas, I believe, mainly Dag-fighter.
