Anvilling is an action in the game where one lays a weapon directly against a target area to prevent damage. For example, if I were to take my sword and lay it against my leg, and then you were to strike it, I would have "anvilled" the hit.
This is illegal as, realistically, laying a sharp, thin sword against your skin is unlikely to prevent another weapon from causing damage to you. It also makes blocking overpowered. For example, if I could just lay my blue sword (unbreakable) across my shield (breakable), and then protect my shield from red hits, then I'm anvilling, and essentially negating the effect of the red, which is super cheesy.
