Has anyone ever used NeverWet?

I want to know if NeverWet is a good or bad idea to apply to Belegarth Weapons. With NeverWet, it could keep weapons in better condition longer and could potentially enable playing in the rain. On a flip side I don't know if it makes the foam or cloth harder. Has anyone used the stuff before on their weapons?

I would not use it since foam and cloth are not listed under the materials.
