So I'm rather new, and there is nothing really in my local area as far as Belegarth is concerned (for several hours drive. Oh Pennsylvania, whyy...). I'm looking at purchasing some basic materials (blue foam, fiberglass core, etc.) and I'm wanting to know where I ought to buy a fiberglass core online. https://goodwinds.com/fiberglass/solid-fiberglass.html seems good, but I'm not sure if there is something better I should use instead.

I've never used the stuff from Goodwinds, aside from their Kitespar, but it looks like it should be fine. Most people use 1/2" diameter stuff, so their stuff is a little on the thicker side, but not considerably so.

I've heard good things about the stuff from Max Gain Systems.

Fiberglass does vary a tad from manufacturer to manufacturer, but just about any of it works. It becomes more of an issue when you're working at the max length of a core's effectiveness, like with min-reds on 1/2" or min-glaives on 5/8".
