Its not a what, its a where and a who. The Warriors of Zydor are the last of the Kirator, a long forgotten race. Zydor was our greatest General in past years...I dont think Belegarth would of heard of us...yet...And, no, we do not plan on being at chaos wars, sorry.

Not at Chaos wars?! well then I dont realy care.
I Voted for the spear because it has the most character. although you can make swords with a lot of character. well what I mean is you really notice spears and custom swords, they stand out the most on the battle field. :spear: :sword:

Y'might want to let people know you reside physically in Kansas, as well... :P

I went ahead and chose sword due to the fact that swords have the most variability among the weapons. I agree that a distinctive sword is really an eye-catcher on the field, and there are at least 50 different kinds that can be made and could still fall under "sword."

Also, why did our good friend G'lani choose to forget about the useful tools that are the Flail, and Stave? They're weapons too. Is he racist against Flails and Staves? :P

Weapons & potential realm help

Hey G'lani- Can you be more specific in what you want or how much you need, or what price range you're looking for, or give some more history on your group? There are foam fighting groups in KA, CO, MI, and IA that could all potentially help you out if you're trying to adapt some other sort of fighting realm to a Belegarthish style realm with Belegarth weapons, or if you're just starting a whole new group.

I have mass produced equipment in the past for IA groups and could potentially do so again for your group come Fall if you commissioned me to. I'm also pretty sure Daemarth in St Louis has started making/selling stuff. Edhellen Armory (www.edhellen.com) also gives out pretty good sized discounts if you're looking to buy a large group */starter kit, and you can pick whatever you want to be in it.

More specifically where in KA are you? East, West, Central?

i chose the axe... they can be made with a round blade, or a flat blade, a undercurve and top cuve, or flat top and bottom. they can normally hook a shield/weapon out of the way to get to you, and they can be just as, if not more, diverse than swords. besides, with all the "flailentine" or flail and punch people out there, i think a good person wielding double axes would have potential.but yeah, just haring about the poll.

Bhakdar....right now, more than anything, we need safe, tested weapon designs and a WHOLE BUNCH of blue swords. I was hoping you could help with that.

I have seen the Edhellen stuff, and while it looks good, it is kinda expensive and i have heard bad reports. so, that shot them down...

could we commision you? that would be great if we could. We need help with larger weapons, such as glaives and axes. We have the sword thing down, but we are slow making them...

We live about 20 minutes away from the MO and KS state line...btw...it is KS for kansas. Sorry...;)

anyway, if anyone wants to come out, feel free. just let me know.

Mistblood....no I do not have a problem with flails or staves...i simply prefer the above weapons. (besides...a sword is just sexy...more so than a flail, at least...;))

Don't mind me for askin', but who gave you that report? Edhellen weapons are probably some of the best weapons I've ever seen, and are well constructed to boot. If I didn't build my own, Edhellen would be what I'd buy, exclusively...

Maybe he's referring to the fact that most of them are built (and hit for that matter) like a brick ****?

I have a leather helm, done in the style of the Norman Knights. I'd sell it for $50. Let me know if any of you are interested.
Oh, and Ethellen **** are the best swords around, all kidding aside.

I would assume he heard that opinion from someone in KCD or from one of the realms in that area. They don't hold a high opinion of fiberglass weapons in that area, least of all Edhellen weapons. I would like to state though, G'Lani that if they aren't specifically illegal in your neighboring realms, Edhellen weapons are generally very well made and very safe and I would recommend them if you're looking to purchase weapons. They hit harder than some weapons, but there are very few that I would call unsafe. Just as an FYI, Bhakdar's weapons are very good quality, but if you buy broadswords from him they'll most likely be fiberglass without penny tips. Just thought you should know in case you can't use those. If you talk to him, I'm sure he can work around that though.

pyre-tech is the best! WOOO!

Edhellen is an amazing place to buy weapons. But you know, there are so many places to find out how to build a foam sword on the internet. You guys need to get the motivation to actually build your own so A) you can fix something when it gets broken (and it will get broken) and B) so you have the experience. Just because I don't fight with weapons I didn't make myself doesn't mean I can't make them myself. Get what I'm saying?
