Chainmail Mantle

Postby Treasach » Mon Mar 28, 2005 5:05 pm

Pardon my ignorance if this has been asked before but a while back I got started on working on making a chain mantle and ended up realizing that I had not constructed the rings around the neck properly and ended up getting rather frustrated and abandoned it. I've decided now though (partially because I spent money on the rings already) that I should complete it, but I still do not know how to construct a neck mantle properly. I've heard of something called "contraction rings" (?) but am not sure what this means. Could someone possibly explain, or point me to literature that explains, how to construct one. Thanks a lot.
