Kilts...What to wear under them

Postby Vak » Wed Aug 16, 2006 8:59 pm

Yeah well as I am part scot I've got a couple kilts all my own but I've got a little reservation of fighting in one...for one major reason. Underwear...at a wedding I normaly go commando cus wool is really really really hot and we all knwo how long a wedding can be. But just on teh street I will go boxers but what onh earth would I wear for fighting.

That's up to you, really.

I believe that traditionally they would "go commando" with a kilt. I know a few belegarth fights that are notorious for it.

I'm a tighty whitey person, but I'd probably wear some athletic shorts or boxers under a kilt.

I wear boxors/briefs and bicycle shorts. Mainly so no one gets a glimpse of something they dont want to see when I fall.

man i dunno about you guys, but i would wear SOMETHING under that NOT because i care about what people see, but because:

1. dont want stuff bouncing around while youre running
2. all the more likely youll get hit pretty bad there since its just hanging around. also more hazardous if you end up on the ground.

your next "garb" call could be a little more than just your kilt.

don't forget to make sure that studded leather thong could pass as armor, nothing like having your opponent hit you in the crotch and be able to wail on him right after. bam! fake moan, he goes in to ask you if you're ok... bambambam, greened in all limbs with your hidden dagger.

true, unless you're fighting someone who's been into a little too much "live with steel" (im just kidding, live with steel is awesome, although it does hurt occasionally)

i beleive only having 3 limbs would be an ENOURMOUS disadvantage on the feild, i dont think there is a single fighter with only three limbs, if so, i want video, i know, im going to hell for a cheap laugh

if you want to wear a kilt, you better free-ball it.

if you're wearing something under a kilt, it's really just a skirt, and you're cross-dressing.

I actually wear a kilt to fight all the time. Unlike these smart-asses.
I'd say go commando, but it's legal to smash you in the boys, so for me at least, that's out.
I also tend to get killed in mid-flight alot. THis tend to "flip up my skirt" as it were. Many of you ladies are achin to see the big show, I know. But, alas, I'm a married man and the wife says I can't be showing it off.
So I wear boxer/breifs. Tight enough to keep the boys out of trouble and long enough to keep everything inside. Plus there pretty breazey.

because of the horrors ive seen on the field at national events. please dear god, for all thats holy, wear SOMETHING. sweat is our natural way of cooling off we do it for a reason. cuz the first time you get shield bashed by somone "vokor esque" we all get a regrettable front row seat to your equipment. its like a trainwreck... you get the idea.

thats my $0.02

Yes, they do... but I believe this would be equally appropriate:

Under Armour thongs, perfect for the would-be authentic Scot. Keeps the sweat off your balls, while allowing for an easy mooning across the field. In all seriousness, Under Armour shorts would work fine, but can be pricey.

Uargvak, you haven't responded to this thread in awhile. Have you already found a solution?

actually, armor must be visible
and i dont think a thong would cover 1/3 the target area (torso)

please god wear something. i dont want to see that. wear underarmour compression shorts with your kilt--theyre great.

also, wearing something under the kilt or not is NOT a test of authenticity in any real sense (although it may be a test of manliness, take that as you will). your cross dressing if you dont wear it with a belt and a sporran. since id reccommend against a sporran on the field, youll probably be cross dressing.

Wow that's like a hybrid of my two suggestions. Good find. But it that a man-thong? The front looks to have the extra material necessary but I did not know if that is part of the "armored" feature. As an underarmor microkini probably not be worth the price you pay for it.

Wear a sporran. A sturdy one. It hangs approximately in front of your "stuff" and will help protect it. You might even pad it by filling it with foam or something.
