wrap pants

Postby Losivvt » Mon Mar 19, 2007 12:14 pm

Anyone know where I might find a pattern to make a pair of wrap pants? I need them for a LARP that I'm going to be taking part in, and I also think they'd look pretty spiffy as part of my belegarth outfit.

Like those pants that tie behind you around your waist, and then go between your legs and tie again in the front. Then you tie the bottoms of them.

Simplicity pattern no. 4192 (go to cimplicity.com and do a pattern search to see it). I'm aware that it's a woman's pattern, but it's exactly what you're looking for (and has a wider range of sizes than pattern 5508, which is the roughly the same pattern). I've used both to make pants for myself and for some of my guy friends. The pattern will usually cost you anywhere between 6-8 bucks, unless you have a Jo-Anns or Hancock Fabrics in your town. At that point, keep an eye out for when patterns are on sale for 2 bucks.
