I'd say to look into resources for some middle eastern style garb. That said, going with this picture as a basis, I'd suggest that you look into a tunic, turban and pair of baggy pants that you can bind the bottoms of with some cloth.

This site could help with some images of the clothing up close.

Turbans are great; shemaghs are even better. Also, look into a type of pants called salwar: http://www.feoragdubh.eastkingdom.org/P ... salwar.gif

That and a knee+ length tunic that's tight through the ribs, then flowy past that, a shemagh, and some eyeliner and you should be well on your way. Try out a kaftan or thawb-type coat/robe over the tunic and pants, too, if you like. Sashes are always in, too.

Good luck! I was going this direction before I became an out-and-out monster and I'm still working on my Haradrim-type garb, too. Should look as good on green skin as any other color!

A mute colored robe and a staff. Also, if you can find a * lookin box about the size of a melon, you'd be all set.

I've read the series, Mel, but I can't remember the Haradrim having a cube.

The easterling armour wouldn't be to hard to make minus the helmet. i would suggest making it out of leather not metal cause it would be very dangerous to you and everyone else not in armour.

For the record, Tolkien himself describes the Haradrim as wearing a mix of maille and an unspecificied armour made out of overlapping plates of iron, probably either scale or lamellar from the description. Some have also suggested that they were supposed to be wearing Roman-style segmented breastplates.

Unlike Peter Jackson, it would appear that Tolkien actually knew the first thing about armour.

Clarification, so the point doesn't get missed.

There are no staffs in Belegarth. Because of how they are constructed, they are really Pugil Sticks.

Yeah, those bigshots in Hollywood need to check their facts. The Wizard of Oz for example completely misrepresents witches. And if you read the book, there's actually very little singing in it.

Europa Barbarorum - best video game mod EVAR (I will fight you if you disagree!)- has very historically accurate representations of ancient Arab fighters. Though there are no patterns shown, you have a general idea of what they look like.
