First tunic

Postby Runner » Wed Dec 09, 2009 4:25 pm

This is the first tunic I've made entirely on my own that is a success.

This one actually fit!! Person I made this for was quite happy. Only two things really wrong with this tunic in my opinion are the fact I didn't hem the neck-hole or the bottom. Besides that, the tunic is great.

I want your mannequin/sand/form/thing! :eyes:

As for your tunic... The neck looks folded over, why not hem it? I cant see what your sleeves are doing, are they really short or just bunched up?

It's a dress form, Cib. Typically you can order order from a sewing store, or even ebay. The typically go for about $100 new, but you may be able to find a deal.

The hero Belegarth deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A Viking *.

Or one can be cheap like me, get some cloth from Wal-Mart and make the garb oneself. :D All I can afford.

She was referring to the dress form brah :P.

Decent tunic.

I'd post pics of my stuff but its just a scrub shirt pattern sans sleeves made out of some cheap linen blend and black trigger drawstring pants :axed: .

Yup, dress form, not tunic. Thanks Noik.
