Hello first post here, i recently starting getting a little bit more into the idea of making a garb for myself. I really would like some feed back as to how i would go about making a garb similar to the guy in white and black in this video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOXsaDpF-AAAny help as to how i would go about this is much appreciated.

all i have to say is that a sewing machine is one of your best friends in this sport. from making garb to makeing weapons. if you plan on satying for long invest in one and learn how to use it. if you already have one good for you.
other than that im sure you can find several tuts on these boards on garb makeing. happy sewing and welcome to the boards

Looks like a tabard. Basically, sew the shape you want, finish the edges, and add a neckhole. I like facings or appliqued trims for stuff like that. or bias tape, if you're feeling lazy.

I'd like to point out that a mostly white tabard with a symbol on it is traditionally a squires tabard. And while you're free to do whatever you want with your garb, making that style of tabard would confuse a lot of people and be generally a social faux pas in Belegarth.
