First set of garb

Postby frazzgnarth » Tue Aug 17, 2010 11:45 pm

So Edirkan and I have been working on finally getting garb together (lack of free time has led to putting it off a lot). Finished a few items, emblazoned my image on a few (went with screen printing because the image was too complicated for applique [see my avatar]), and will be finishing up the last piece of the outfit (pants) tomorrow. So far, I've made a knee-length tunic, a waist length tabard, and patterned out some tights for tomorrow's project. Was contemplating making hakama as has been discussed frequently on the forums, but for a medieval Europe style, as matches the tunic and tabard, I thought tights would be more fitting (no pun intended).

Pics to come as soon as the full outfit is completed.

Sew triangular piece of fabric into the side splits on your "tunic" and you'll have something more closely resembling a piece of medieval upper body clothing.

Nice sewing on the tabard.

little looser in the leg region, helps shadow where your actual leg is.

can help throw off shots and stuff.

overall looks good.

i like to call that mini-armor. when you wear very baggy garb to hide your body frame. works better on noobs than vets though.

I like it. Cool symbol on the shield and tabard.

Thank you, I was looking for something that hadn't really been used much, and I figured a butterfly would be a good choice, considering how little you see it, and yet how much it has been a bad omen or harbinger of death in different civilizations.

Not too shabby. It's certainly a start. Plenty of room to expand and refine. Image
