Need some Pants/Skirt Patterns

Postby Savage Of Rath » Thu Sep 09, 2010 12:38 pm

Got a friend addicted to the game and we've been trying to figure out what to make him for his first pair of pants. He's willing to wear a skirt but he prefers pants.

So if anyone can give me some patterns for quick/easy/loose pants I'd be grateful. We've got plenty of fabric to work with.

Basically, pants are two rectangles and a square. Rectangles should be about 1/2 your actual waist plus seam allowance by the length of your belt to your ankle, plus seam allowance plus ~4 inches for the casing to a draw string. The square is a gusset for your crotch. Hope this was at all helpful.

Saved, I'll show him and see if he likes those.

More ideas appreciated though. Any "Manly" skirt patterns that are conducive to bele fighting?

I myself fight in a Great Kilt, which is simply a 4-7 yard rectangle of fabric, pleated and belted. Put "wearing the Great Kilt" into Google, and it'll show you how to pleat the kilt, and the various ways of wearing the plaid. As far as manliness goes, the Great Kilt is Rated M For Manly all the way.

Real men wear kilts without underwear.

If you needed patterns you could have just asked...I am one of the realm garb wizards, and a costume designer for real life.
Call me Ox, it's easier I promise.

Haha, I've tried Ox. I need to get your phone number or something. Every time I try messaging you on facebook I get no response. That and you weren't at practice Wednesday, bad bad Ox.

Yes, Noik, they do. But then they get knocked end over end by the biggest * on the field shield bashing them at a run, and the entire realm decides that they don't get to be a "true Scotsman" anymore, because nobody wants to see that ****. I now own compression shorts.
