Your talking about wrap pants. They're ridiculously easy to make.

Dangus, thanks for putting that up. That's much better than the tutorial I've been linking.

No worries, brotha. While we're on the subject of pants. Has anyone found a good link for a Traditional Hakama tutorial?

I've got a bunch of links up on our garb page, but this one is supposed to be an accurate hakama pattern:

That's how I get wrap pants. Really, they are good beginner. But you can't wash them in a machine, the cotton is pretty thin and they're kind of a pain to fight in. But for like $16 once you do shipping it's a good deal.

That's what I do, only I have to make them hella bigger:

More like that. I'm 6'1" with a ~36" actual waist (~200#).

The one Isk linked is the one all of mine are made from. They're kickin' rad, and very similar to the 'authentic' pair I have. Minus the backplate, of course.

Edit: Also, wrap pants on dudes make you look like a giant nerd. Just FYI.
