Not LARP, not Cosplay... BEL/DAG kits done right!

This is kind of a clone topic. We've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly of LARP here... But what about us? What about OUR best of the best? What about OUR unique ideas? Lets stop drooling over other organizations and give people a reason to envy us. This extends to Dag fighters as well. I want to see the best of the two American ditch foam-combat monsters. Bel and Dag.

I've seen examples of female garb done twice per the usual Bel reasons. Lets focus on the whole community though and the best of the best of said community!

Set examples for new fighters! Inspire or challenge veterans to do better!

For thread purposes armor = garb. If someone makes us look **** good, put their picture up!

Lets not turn this into a rule debate. There's been plenty of those which are still easy to find and still at the top of more than one sub-forum. Again, this is about looking good in keeping with the spirit of the game.

Guy on the left is not in garb. Hes wearing ninja brig and a skirt and tennis shoes. Sure its passing but thats not "garb done right" thats garb just passing

Sorry this thread for the most part is "guys in pretty armor" Pretty armor is not garb, pretty armor is pretty armor. How many people here would be in barely passing garb if it wasn't for the armor.

Im not trying to turn this into a is armor garb thread, i want to see good GARB damnit.

Re-reading aside, that was mostly to display the back of Ferrin's pants, they look like jeans in the front.

Since we're on the subject of Shoonz though, I will say... that's pretty * good for someone who does not give a rats * about garb and threw together a weekend kit because it was required. Most people - even enthusiastic ones - who throw together garb, effectively throw together **** cut up neutral colors from wal-mart. I agree with the shoes though, that's always been a nitpick of mine.

Varadin wrote:Im not trying to turn this into a is armor garb thread...

Then don't. That was easy.

Teej, in order to not have to listen to Varadin crying like a *, you could change the title of the thread to "kits done right", rather than "garb".
Seems like he has a sandy vag, although I agree about ninja brig guy. He does not belong in this thread.

I have only 2 things to say about these pics:
Keep em comin and good god am I sexy or what?

Because its more garb and serves two purposes.

Yeah joe no one cares go to a NATIONAL event. See how many people have "modern logos" on safety equipment. Its safety equipment. Yeah it looks dumb but **** off plenty of people have unmodified gloves. Get with the program.

Dude, this thread is about GREAT Belegarth kits. Not "mediocre, okay, sure, that passes by the way our lax garb rules are enforced right now but it really needs to have x y and z done to it to be fully compliant" kits.

Try and keep up.

I don't know if you noticed the pictures of PTQ, and Bortas, (no offense you guys both rock) but their both wearing un modded Gloves

In a thread that focuses on Garb, Safety equipment is not garb and thus doesn't count.

As for the second picture..not our finest that's for sure.

Xavier, you are wrong.
In this thread about great garb, safety equipment does certainly count. It is supposed to have the logos taken off.
Yes Bortas and Peter have pics where this is not done. But it is still wrong. Do you think that if some one whos name you know does a thing, that thing is automatcily cool? **** no! Cover you **** logos.
Everyone should. It only takes 30 seconds with a sharpie.
I'm not going to go into the fact that mma gloves are ugly as **** and total over kill for padded swords, and lacross gloves are stupid looking robot hulk hands. There are only about a million types of padded gloves that work better and aren't as hot or as expensive.

LOL what? An Amtgard Sword Knight bruised my middle knuckle through my MMA bag gloves at SKBC (in April), to the degree that I can still feel it.

What gloves do you think are better?
