I know that there is not much evidence of corduroy pre-fur trade/ pre-Revolutionary war at least in North America, they is some evidence of it in Europe, but not a whole lot. It is something that is used a great deal in Civil War/Revolutionary War reenactments for civilians, and for Fur Trade reenactments for voyageurs. Which is out of the suggested time frame I have been informed we are looking at.
That being said, I wear my fur trade reenactment garb for belegarth all the time, not as feast garb, but as general garb because it looks good, and wears well. I wouldn't suggest corduroy for fighting, the way it is weaved makes it pron to knee and crotch blow-outs, but as feast pants, as long as your tunic covers the pockets as Arrakis said before, you should be alright.
