So, hammocks...

Postby NessiePop » Tue Aug 23, 2011 1:44 am

I wanna make my own hammock to sleep in at events. Has anyone else attempted or encountered this? It seems like, weather permitting, it'd be a really killer way to get my Zs on.

Hammocks **** rule. Making them look not super hard, bu very time consuming and tedious.

So, I made myself a hammock. It took, like, 8 minutes, and it rules.

That's where I got my info, and it works excellently. I used a queen-sized bedsheet instead of nylon, but I'm gonna make another with canvas, cause the bedsheet's strength (or lack thereof) freaks me out every time I get in.

You're a hammock. Does that make you a better fighter, being a hammock?

Yep. I'm much less tense now, although my speed has suffered from being tied between two trees.

I made a hammock tent a few years back that I still use. If I can dredge up some pics I'll throw them up here but they are really nice in the rain and in the cold since the ground saps most of your heat.

That website is a gold mine.

I may have to consider this... and I hate camping.

Nice link! Fortunately hammocks are rather easy to find over here.

Very cool site. I have used a henessey hammock at several events and loved it. Hammocks FTW.
