Beginners Leatherworking kit

Postby Gabekillsyou » Sat May 11, 2013 2:29 pm

I am interested in learning the trade of leatherworking and will soon be buying a kit. I made this thread wondering if anyone had any suggestions/advice as to where i should start. I know in bel there are some leatherworkers with skill who would know what kit is best for armorsmithing.

Anyways I would rather buy a kit off someone in the community and help them out before paying a random person on ebay, if anyone knows where I should go for such a thing please let me know, and thanks.

When I got my first set at Tandy, I bought everything in one trip. To the point where the upper-tier membership discount only cost me 10$ because it saved me so much with my first purchase. Now I got a dank-ass discount.

I have been building up my tools slowly over the years. I have found my membership at Tandy to be money well spent. Outside the fact that they give you a discount they also offer free leather working classes and the use of their tools in house. I have found that when I need a tool that I don't have they will let me come in and do the work in their shop. Plus the tips and tricks are priceless. There have been a few times when I couldn't figure out how to do things and they have sat down in the work shop and helped me figure it out.
Where ever coins jingle or plunder is promised you'll find a mercenary.

Last post was 13 May 2013. Unless you have something insightful or new to add to a dead thread, don't necro. If it's still pertinent, start a new thread. Thanks!
